Flexible Outpatient Options for Adults
When an individual doesn’t require 24-hour supervision as they work on their recovery, day treatment and outpatient counseling is a great option. Our outpatient programs are designed to provide healing and therapy for those who don’t need full residential treatment or those who need a step-down option after completing an inpatient substance abuse program. These programs allow patients to seek intensive treatment during the day but return home in the evenings, offering flexibility and providing the opportunity to practice learned skills in a patient’s everyday environment.
PARTIAL HOSPITALIZATION DAY PROGRAM (PHP)
PHP serves as a bridge between our residential and intensive outpatient programming, providing structured day treatment under the care of medical experts. Our team helps to build spiritual recovery support systems that enable patients to take an active role in renewing their life. We also help participants develop support networks outside of treatment by attendance and participation in outside 12-Step meetings. The goal with PHP is to teach new coping skills that can be actively practiced and supported at home, work and in the community. PHP includes six hours of treatment, weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Calvary’s PHP also includes:
- Daily group therapy
- Nursing education group
- Recovery education lectures
- Weekly appointments with a physician
- Recreation therapy
- Acupuncture
INTENSIVE OUTPATIENT PROGRAM (IOP)
IOP focuses on providing tools that help maintain sobriety. The IOP model has been time-tested for more than 20 years, providing flexibility and convenience with an intensive treatment experience. Calvary Healing Center has a professional staff that develops individualized plans which include recovery, coaching, relapse prevention and family group therapy to ensure the healing of everyone affected.
Weekly groups focus on relapse prevention planning, relationships and communication, issues in early recovery and co-occurring disorders as well as cultural components of recovery. IOP groups meet three times a week for three hours a day. We have flexible treatment times to fit any schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings or weekends. Family involvement is also crucial to recovery, so we offer weekly multi-family group therapy and education group just for family members. Visit our Locations Page for more information about our IOP facilities.
